Any good Digital Asset Management (DAM) solutions for WordPress?

**Use case:** SME manufacturers have “Trade” sections on their websites that offer marketing assets about their products for 3rd party distribution and retailers. Often times this section of the site is copied/pasted self-hosted links into an HTML table. Relatively low storage needs, few if any video files (mostly images, pdfs, pptx)

**Looking for:** files to be self-hosted with clean URLs that can be updated, previews, customizable user interface, search, categories, and maybe more… Will pay, but would prefer a self-hosted solution.

The DAM industry is clearly built for large corporations. DAM is basically hosting and UI with lots of extra stuff that I have no need for at the moment. The DAM SaaS prices seem suspicious and everyone is seeking lock-in.

If I could just “skin” google drive or find a WP plugin that would be nice.

If anyone has a solution that may work, I’d love to hear about it.

  1. If you prefer to self-host, you can use a plugin like WP Media Folder to create a media library, organize your files into categories, and provide search and preview functionality.

As you mentioned, you can also use Google Drive to store and manage your marketing assets. You can use the Google Drive API to create a custom user interface and integrate it with your website. You can also use Google Drive’s built-in preview and search functionality.

If you want a more comprehensive solution, you can consider using a DAM software like Bynder but I think it may be more expensive than the other options.
