Astra Pro question about background images and having content length match sidebar

[ad_1]

I cannot find a reddit thread for Astra Pro, so I’m going to try posting here in hopes that there is some Astra Pro guru who can give me a clue.

I have over a decade experience with WordPress and started using Astra Pro a few years ago on/off.

I am trying to replicate a client site that has the following requirement. It’s a sports site and they have green grass as the background image so that it shows green grass on the left side (50px) and on the right side (50px). The center of the page is a white background with left sidebar and content.

The issue I’m having trying to create this in Astra is that the sidebar is often much longer than the page content and the content area “white background” stops when the content stops and then the grass background image shows through.

In another situation if the content IS longer than the sidebar then I get grass background image showing below the sidebar.

I want the white background to always fill the space from header to footer for sidebar AND content area. I cannot figure out how to do it.
