I’m relatively new to WP ecosystem, but inherited a WP site for work. I’m determined to manage deploys via version control. I’m currently in the process of converting the vanilla site to Bedrock. I’m mostly there. Now I’m looking for a database push/pull/selective table solution.
I started by using WP Synchro PRO, and set it up as a private repo so I can pull it in with Composer. That all works, but I’m having problems with it in the admin panel due to Bedrock’s unorthodox directory structure. Can’t even initiate a sync.
I used WP Migrate years ago (not with Bedrock), but it’s quite expensive, even for a team of 2, and I’m wondering if this will have the same issues as WP Synchro PRO due to being managed via Composer, etc.
Neither of these products have seemingly any documentation for usage with Bedrock that I’ve been able to find.
So I guess I’m just looking to bypass all this complexity and talk to the folks who’ve done this for years. What works? Thank you in advance.
