Building my first ecommerce website.. What are the do’s and don’ts??

I am gonna build my ecommerce website selling my handmade products. If you could do it over again, what would you do? I planned on using YouTube to teach me. I was going to use Woo commerce for selling and use hostarmada for hosting
Try to use free plugins there are quite a few ways to get some premium features of elemtor for free using Xpro elementor add ons for different plugins also there will be alternatives.
When adding product images compress it so it’s not of high size as loading time for users will be increased.
Try watching multiple videos on how woo commerce works .. I don’t know much about it as I haven’t stepped into woo commerce…

Do, use Shopify, don’t “make your own” – tools exist so you don’t have to reinvent the wheel as a Jr Dev. It’s a few dollars more than self hosting a woocommerce but the security lapses and update issues, plus speed of development will be worth it to use the out of the box solution designed exactly for people like yourself.
