I’ve been so used to grid view, I forgot about list view, and can sort by name, but luckily I didn’t have to do that (just yet), and just stayed sorted by date and I was able to find problematic images (for whatever reasons, these problematic images weren’t automatically scaled down to 2560, and this was before I made my templates to max at 2560). Luckily I only have ~1,150 images, so it’s not as bad to sift through. But I can only imagine if someone had 10K, 50K, 100K, etc.
Also the logs seem to be delayed, but it does show ID#, but when I search the ID#, nothing returns on media library. I don’t know if that is normal. So maybe it would be nice to add title name as well in the logs?
Still have to fix these problematic images I found to see if anything else will show up.
Nonetheless, I think a Bulk Select option and having the feedback message to return what media file the execution stopped at, and the logs to show title name, would make this plugin more robust!
Hi @andrewstanley,
The message “Cannot remove image, scaled image offloaded” means that, for some reason, only the scaled version of the image was offloaded. This can be because of two things:
- It was offloaded with an old version of the plugin, which did not yet support offloading full-size images
- The original was too large to offload.
If it’s the first case – unoffloading and reoffloading the image should fix the issue. If it’s the second case – such images cannot be fully removed, because you will never be able to restore the original.
Best regards,
Anton
Thank you for your reply Anton,
Was able to find the unscaled images by month, replace them, and get everything offloaded and deleted from media library via bulk delete. For my case it was #2
Kindly,
Andrew
