Cache problem, ?nocache=1 helps

[ad_1]

Hi,

A somewhat common problem here, I’m creating a personal website on wordpress, it worked fine but all of a sudden I don’t see the updates I make out of the editor. I tried deleting browser cache and wordpress cache via WP Fastest Cache plugin, but still no changes. I did, however, find out that adding ?nocache=1 at the end of the http address fixes the problem. Does this mean the problem is with my host?(I am a computer noob, so I only grasp the basics of what’s happening here)

Thanks!

Edit: typos

  1. Hi there! It sounds like you’re experiencing an issue with your WordPress website not showing your updates. Adding the ?nocache=1 parameter to the end of the URL can often help to bypass the cache and show the most recent updates, but it’s not a permanent solution.
There could be a few different reasons why your updates are not showing up on your website. It could be an issue with your hosting server, such as a problem with caching or file permissions. It could also be an issue with your WordPress theme or a plugin that you have installed.
I recommend trying the following steps to troubleshoot the issue:
    1. Deactivate all of your plugins and see if that helps. If the issue is resolved, reactivate your plugins one by one until you find the one causing the problem.
    2. Switch to a default WordPress theme, such as Twenty Twenty, and see if that resolves the issue. If it does, the problem may be with your current theme.
    3. Check your website’s file permissions and ensure that your theme and plugin files are set to the correct permissions.
    4. Contact your hosting provider and ask if they can help troubleshoot the issue. They may be able to provide more information about the problem and help you resolve it.
I hope these suggestions are helpful and let me know if you have any other questions!

  2. Fun fact: Adding “?ghfdff” (random characters) would’ve worked the same as most caching plugin’s do not cache URLs that have query strings.
