Can someone please explain to me how to remove “Figcaption” from autopopulating?

Recently pulished a blog post only to find out later, there is figcaption under every image. not sure where I can go to change this for my posts. Please help!

  1. I can’t paste screenshot here. Basically, there’s a space at the bottom of the image for adding captions.

    So do these –
    Click on the caption. If you click on it properly, you’ll see a floating text style options panel would appear.

    Then press ctrl+A on your keyboard to select the whole caption. And then press Delete/Backspace from the keyboard.

    It’ll go away.
