Need help / rookie question! I have a WordPress website and domain that the client wants vanished from the internet because we are currently creating a new website under a new domain. I am having issues deleting this current website though. Any help would be appreciated, as I want through general settings and privacy without finding anything to at least hide the website.

You’ll have to talk to your host about deleting your current WordPress instance, and your DNS registrar on how to do a domain level redirect if you want one.
Edit to add: I forget where it is in settings, but you can start by checking the option to discourage indexing. That’ll tell Google to go away.
Do you have cpanel or FTP access? If not, you’ll need to contact the host.
And just to clarify, is this a site built with the WordPress open source software (from [WordPress.org](https://WordPress.org)) and hosted with a host such as Bluehost/Knownhost/etc? Or is it a site built on [WordPress.com]) (the managed WordPress host)? Because the instructions are different for each.
1. Submit a removal request to google
2. Go to your DNS and delete the A record.
3. After backing up the site, log into the hosting control panel, delete all files and drop the database.
