client from hell.

[ad_1]

I created a WordPress website for a client, the total cost was $500.

We had all the conversations on Whatsapp.

The customer raised the issue with Paypal, that the service was not delivered.

I have given all the proof but Paypal is siding with the client.

Just because we did not communicate through email.

It’s like just because I am a seller, I am at fault here.

what should I do now?

  1. sue them.

also raise your rates, don’t work without a contract, don’t use whatsapp, don’t use paypal.

edit: also at least 25% down before a single thing is done, 50% down for clients that seem sketchy. and no final deployment until payment is made.

  2. Unfortunately it may be one of those “fuck it, too much hassle to chase this one” cases.

The time and effort you’ll put in chasing that $500 may not be worth it in the long term. However, I don’t know your financial situation to say if you’re able to do that or not.

Also, that level of client are always a pain in the arse. Next time, 50% down before starting with a new client. Explain to them the reason why and once a working relationship is established that deposit level changes

  3. Do you still have the login for the site? If so, kick them out asap and take the site down.

  4. Your recourse is to sue them for the amount owed. That is well beyond the scope of this subreddit.
