Difference between builders

[ad_1]

I am starting a web agency. Have spent now 3 weeks researching builders šŸ™‚ I am a coder, not so much a graphic designer. I can COPY something, but not so much create. Also I can debug code more than create šŸ™‚

Anyway, the finalists seem to be Oxygen vs GeneratePress + blocks. I am leaning toward the latter as I love the premade templates. But Oxygen fascinates me. It doesn't use templates?? Do block editors? I haven't entirely been able to wrap my head around the differences of all builders.

On top of that I already HAVE a Divi lifetime license, but I only got that way back in the day for their other templates. They say they are a full site editing builder??

Who can explain it to me so I understand it all finally šŸ™‚ Thanks!

  1. I am a programmer as well. I often use Kadence templates and blocks to set up the foundation of a website.

  2. All and every page builder will lock you in.

If I have to start a web agency, I would stick with FSE (https://fullsiteediting.com) plus a good block plugin (GenerateBlocks/GreenShift). Rationale behind this choice: site handover and outsourcing if you need help of extern developer/designer.

For me, no doubt: GeneratePressPro+GenerateBlocksPro (for extended pattern library). If you require some bell and whistles, like animation, sliders, Figma sync, etc add GreenShift. For extra functionality, Pods (free) or ACFPro(Paid). You can do wonders with this combo. Investigating GP Elements is mandatory.

    Success.

  3. oxygen is somewhat of abandonware (they are more invested in breakdance now). look at bricks builder instead.
