Elementor is a sinking ship – which raft should I jump onto?

[ad_1]

Done with elementor, doesn't fit my needs, headache after headache, juice ain't worth the squeeze. Need recommendations on plugins that fit the following:

Page builder specifically for landing pages (bonus points if it's extremely fast and optimized for loadspeed – running paid traffic – double bonus points if split testing is built in)

Needs to be reliable, I have a page builder so I can build a page and have everything work, not so that I can go back and forth and it be a headache

Needs to be able to handle content (photo/video) well, my pages are heavy on creative, elementor sucks at dealing with it

Needs to be customizable specifically on the form/survey end where I can get fancy with capturing information

Overall: Fast, reliable, testable, customizable, and just WORKS… let me know what you all have converted to, sounds like elementor is a sinking ship

  1. Sinking ship? It sank years ago.

Check out Breakdance. There is a clear line with editor vs coding, which I’d prefer to move a bit, but otherwise, it’s a solid choice.

  2. Beaver Builder is quite nice and doesn’t make a mess of things like Elementor or Divi. It is a premium plugin but the support is top notch.

  3. Just use simple HTML, CSS, and javascript for the landing page and keep your blog on the WordPress.

  4. Gutenberg is really the next pretty well supported page builder, by well supported, you get thrid-party plugins to extend it. And its a common cause for broken Elementor sites as well. Elementor gets the blame a lot of the time whenever I see a complaint without knowing its the third-party plugin to extend it.

Breakdance, Oxygen & Bricks are themes with their own page builder.

And why would you want a split testing feature built in? I would understand conditional stuff but split testing is best left to split testing plugin not on a theme/page builder.

  5. Yep. Long gone. I’m using SeedProd and Divi for several projects.

Mostly SeedProd for its website builder and custom theme making options. Plus I also like their new AI builder for websites.

  6. Learn Gutenberg. It’s part of core. It’s not going anywhere and you can simply upgrade core to maintain it.

  7. We just gave up on builders (Elementor, Brizy, Bricks) and started using Gutenberg with custom code this year.

  8. I recently moved away from Elementor. I am just putting the finishing touches on my new site using only GeneratePress Premium and GenerateBlocks free, and I am super happy with how it turned out. I have been using GeneratePress Premium for 6 years and I highly recommend it.

  9. What’s the consensus with Oxygen Builder? I bought it during alpha with lifetime. It seemed closest to web flow but for wordpress. But then I pivoted into my own few startups.

Bricks and breakdance seems a bit unrefined, but look like super nice viables. Are they truly production ready?

  10. Another vote for Bricks. I recently migrated 3 sites out of Elementor into Bricks (all manual labor, but worth it) and my only regret is not having done this sooner.

  11. I far prefer Divi over elementor for page builders and lower budget projects. I like using ACF/Gutenberg for custom development if the budget is higher. Sounds like custom is more what you’re looking for.

  12. VERY happy with Kadence/Kadence Blocks after leaving Elementor. But only after watching LOTS of YouTube videos, of which there are several of excellent quality, starting with CliftonWP. The official support forum is pretty good, too.

  13. I’m still using Oxygen and it’s still great. Will be giving Breakdance a whirl soon though.

  14. Switched to Bricks Builder over a year ago and haven’t looked back since.

The code is cleaner, the builder is way faster and the overhead bloat is nearly non-existent.

  15. Using GeneratePress here because I bought a lifetime licence few years ago (spoiler: they don’t offer it anymore).
It’s like Gutenberg layer so it’s very light to use.

  16. Nothing is going to “just work” outside of the box, unfortunately. At least not when things get outside of the normal scope.

All of the builders promise that, but it’s literally impossible. You can’t code an interface for infinity, eventually your needs will be outside of what they allowed you to do.
