Help Request- Insert Custom XML sitemap in Bluehost/WordPress

[ad_1]

Hi all,

New to this community, thanks in advance for any potential assistance! I don’t have development background but I’m in charge of maintaining my small company’s website via wordpress/bluehost. The short question is how I can manually insert an already coded updated XML sitemap in my website. Context below:

We had an issue where our XML sitemap was serving up pages from our staging server which we don’t really use, and our Google Ads consultant made us a new sitemap and said I just need to replace in it in our site, but I cannot figure out how after two days of research and digging around bluehost and wordpress. Everything I’m seeing online says to get a plugin like All in One SEO or one of the others, but all of those plugs automatically generate the sitemap, whereas I want to insert one that is already written. I’m using the Divi theme if that helps. Do I need to do this in cPanel in the file directory? Does anyone know where it’s located where it can easily just be swapped out with the prewritten XML code?

Thank you so much!!
