Help! I’m new to using WordPress and creating websites. I started by registering my domain name on WordPress and began messing around trying to create the website. After realizing I was in over my head I started reading and watching YouTube to learn more. I’ve seen a lot of people suggest hosting on other sites like namehero or host gator then using WordPress.
Im not sure if I understand the benefits of this and if it’s something I need to go back and do now?
Can someone explain more about the benefits of hosting on WordPress or using another hosting site then using WordPress to build my site?
Final question – what are your favorite ways to learn about topics like this, building WordPress sites and SEO?

I have a few very simple starter “wp” (helpful) posts in my profile
get familiar with base wordpress, and some common plugins
* InstantWP (with a small fix, via Firefox) on localhost is a useful tool for designing/testing offline, but still rendered as live
* Duplicator is useful to migrate from localhost to a live host (like Infinityfree or Host Koala, etc)
* WordPress the CMS (tool you are using) & WordPress the business are different. I believe “managed hosting” is their draw
* Freenom is useful for “play” domain names, but I would avoid a free domain name for serious use.
I suggest Gutenberg & Elementor, they are useful for building & client edit use
