Good Afternoon,
I have a wordpress site using the TagDiv Composer Newspaper Theme. I also have a plugin simply called “Redirection”
If I go to the website on my phone I get the basic desktop homepage, and it looks mangled. If I manually put in the /mobile-homepage at the end of my URL with my phone it goes where I want and it looks pretty.
Now this Redirection plugin supposedly can check against “URL and user agent.” And I can specify a list of mobile agents like “Android” and “iPhone.” So I tried a rule that if you went to the homepage and your were a mobile user agent you would instead go to the mobile homepage….it seems simple.
However even after trying with my phone (android) and my girlfriend’s iPhone the redirect rule never receives any hits and I go to the normal homepage where things don’t look great on my phone.

Here’s how I’m writing the rule within the Redirection plugin
Any guidance or ideas would be quite helpful.

Don’t do that. Google will penalise you. Learn how to build your page so it works on any sized device. That process is called responsive design. Any theme made in the last 5-10 years works that way.
