I've tried several plugins and none seem to have any effect on my mobile search speeds. The desktop is alright, but searches on mobile often take up to 10 seconds to show results. I have a database of 24.000 posts. I've tried:
Relevanssi – with or without content/excerpt indexing, didn't make a difference
Relevanssi light
WP Fast Total Search
Super Speedy Search
1-2 others
Doesn't seem to matter what I index, how many results, any of the options. It always stays slow on mobile. Frankly, none of them seem to make any difference vs. the default WordPress search. Does anyone have tips?
Try using Elasticsearch with the ElasticPress plugin or Algolia for faster mobile search speeds since they handle large datasets much more efficiently.
