Hi guys, I’m really new at the whole website thing and everything I know is self taught. I finally finished my first website and its published and everything but I noticed it doesn’t really appear in google searches even if I google the name of the website and the focus key phrases I added on Yoast SEO. I did do some further research and set up a google search console account today where I connected sitemaps and all that, obviously no data is on the search console and it has the message “please check again in a day or so”.
I also saw a article on googles website called “Does my website appear on Google Search?”, I followed the steps where I enter “site: [Mydomain.com](https://Mydomain.comww)” and it did appear on google which means it’s been indexed but when I try search any other way my website will not appear on google, I’ve changed the a lot on the SEO side where I’m either in the green or orange (Yoast) to see if that will work but nothing. Please can someone tell me what I’m doing wrong, must I just wait a few days or week as I’ve only set it up with google search console today or should it be showing since I can see it when entering “site: Mydomain.com” .
More context if it helps, my website is about 1.5/2 weeks old because I basically published everything from the start of creating it. Today 15 May 2023 I linked it with google search console and connected the site maps, and I’m obviously using Yoast SEO.
