How to handle the high storage needs of a forum?

[ad_1]

Hi all,

I am planning on adding a forum to my Elementor site. I am considering BuddyPress and BuddyBoss, but am open to suggestions too. I have never created a forum on a WordPress site before, but I am immediately wondering about the issue of storage, especially if images are involved as this can grow quite large quickly and eat up the available storage allowed by the hosting service.

I am wondering about connecting the forum to Amazon s3 for storage as one options (any plugin recommendations?). Or would it be better to find a host that has scalable hosting (any service recommendations)?

Is there another strategy that I’m overlooking to solve the storage issue with wordpress forums?

Thanks in advance!
