how to save/backup your wordpress website

i am new to wordpress and i wanna know how to backup the data locally

​

by that i mean,lets say i made a website locally and i wanna save it so i can use it for future use so i can start working on a new website

how to do that?

  1. To back up your website, you can choose from various backup plugins. Some options include Duplicator, UpdraftPlus, All in One WP Migration (my personal recommendation), and others.

  2. Updraftplus plug-in, it’s easy and it provides google drive connection and WP dashboard connection

  3. Login to your hosting panel, take a zipped backup of all of the files using your file manager. Also go into to the database and export that (9 times out of 10 this is phpmyadmin so you’ll find a guide easily)

    Then in your localhost, extract the zip, upload the database to your localhost.

    Then you’ll want to use a plugin to rewrite the urls from http://example.com/ to http://localhost/ I personally prefer to use velvet blues for this if I’m doing it through the interface. If you’re comfortable using phpmyadmin you can find a ‘update WordPress urls sql’ snippet online easily enough.
