Sorry if this isn’t the right place for this, but I am trying to update a website for my work that runs on wordpress. We are trying to update parts of the website to make it look nicer but the PHP is too out of date. The website is hosted by network solutions. The current PHP is version 5.4, and if I update it to 8.0 our website won’t work because none of the plug-ins and things are updated for that. My understanding is that I might have to use File Transfer Protocol to make that happen. All in all this shit is out of my wheelhouse and I just want to hire someone to make this happen – does anyone have any thoughts or ideas?
