I’m a WordPress developer not wanting to alter SEO

[ad_1]

Hey there, I typically make new WordPress websites for my clients but I’m having someone enquire about a website redesign that already exists on WordPress already.

This website is rather big and when you ask google specific relevant questions google already has some of the site’s content preloaded as an answer or in a drop-down (hope you understand what I mean).

I use elementor and currently I’m not sure whether the website already use elementor (it looks like it but I can never be too sure until the client responds to me)

Let’s say it is, if I change the layout and presentation of the site but keep the content exactly the same, will google still show the preloaded and drop down answers for the site when relevant questions are asked?

If the site isn’t elementor and I change all the pages into elementor, will google still show the preloaded and drop down answers for the site when relevant questions are asked?

(All bearing in mind I keep SEO tools and meta descriptions the same)

  1. View the page source, elementor is easily identified by its source code.

The real question is: how is SEO currently implemented? If you’re cloning the site, and retheming it, unless you have to do it entirely in a clean install, due to malware etc., whatever method of implementation is in use, should carry over to the staging build.

  2. As soon as they decide you’re an Elementor jockey you won’t hear back I’m thinking.
