Image Issue after site migration

[ad_1]

Hi, apologies right out of the gate as i’m really nascent to this forum and wordpress.

TLDR:

I migrated WP site using blogvault from one aws/bitnami instance to another (in order to get the latest version of PHP, as some pluggins required it), and i havent updated the DNS from the old to the new site yet, and my issue is that the images in the Media gallery (130 total), are not rendering their thumbnail, and only about 40% of the images actually migrated (this could have been b/c i didnt update the php.ini file to increase the file size limit or not?). **No image thumbnails show up in the gallery viewing mode on the dashboard’s Media page, including newly uploaded images, but they do rendering on the ‘list’ view. My ask is why this may be and ultimately what might need to do or look into to resolve it.**

FullStory:

I run a simple website for my wife’s yoga teacher training stuffs. I set it up on on aws/lightsail using the bitnami build, largely to save on hosting cost. The advent of needing to keep up with the latest/modern version of PHP, i needed to build a new container/instance (unless someone has an idea of how to just update PHP on an existing bitnami instance). I tried a few migration pluggins and the only one that worked was Blogvault.

The core of the site’s content migrated over but only about 40% of the 130 images came over(so not a ton that i can’t manually do it), but more so the issue i’m having/seeing is that the Media library is not rendering any thumbnails, even for new images i’ve uploaded, in the ‘gallery’ view, but it does show in the ‘list’ view. This seems quite odd.

I haven’t updated the DNS of the site yet, as i wanted to make sure everything was working b4 doing so, thus maybe it’s possible that has something to do with it(though the pathing seems ‘ok’).

Would greatly appreciate if anyone has any thoughts/insights or could point me in the right direction.
