Hi all, for context I’m trying to fix a website for the company I work for. I did not build it myself, but I was handed this troubleshooting task because I’m somewhat familiar with WordPress and HTML/CSS coding but so far none of my attempts have fixed the issue, so I thought I’d ask this community.
Basically, my manager was trying to update a button on our homepage and it wasn’t updating, so she decided to update WordPress and now none of our images are loading on any of the site’s pages. The media gallery is working just fine and images are still showing up there. I also installed a new cache plugin and cleared the cache, that didn’t help. I’m thinking it might not be a caching issue, I read somewhere else in this sub to try putting /?no-cache123 after our url and that didn’t make the images appear, but I’m by no means an expert so feel free to tell me otherwise.
We are a small business trying to save money and I’m also in school right now to become a web developer (still early in my program obviously lol) so I’d love to hear your guys’ thoughts and see if I can fix this myself. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Check DevTools > Network tab – that will give you a hint on why the images aren’t loading.
Your WordPress should always be running the latest version – the last release had a bunch of security fixes. Same goes for plugins and themes.
