I’ve had some issues with the theme I bought on Themeforest (Shareblock). Basically, what happens is when I publish a new entry, it won’t appear on the homepage for a while, sometimes in a day or two. I don’t know what causes its delay, and it’s strange because when I do go to the section page, the entry does appear, but it won’t when I go back to the homepage, and sometimes it even appears on a different category I didn’t even chose.
Thing is I asked about the issue to the admin of Shareblock and he asked me if a had a cache plugin (which I do, WP Super Cache). After I told them that, they’ve asked if I could them my website link and account password so they could figure out the cause. My question for you guys is: Is that something that usually do happen when an issue can’t be solved by the webmasters themselves? Or should I by no means give them my password? I’m pretty much a beginner in this so I’m lost regarding how to handle this. And if you guys know what could be the thing that’s causing the issue, please tell me. I appreciate any help. Thank you!

Caching most likely. Have you tried purging the server cache or checking in incognito?
Never give your password. Create a unique user if you’re gonna give access, and only give access to someone you trust.
Yes it’s common and normal for devs to ask for your login. How else can they fix problems? They aren’t going to break your site – they have a business to run – reputation matters.
Your issue would be cache related.
If it’s their theme, then it’s common. I’ve had something like that in the past, where I bought a theme off of that site, and had issues. I contacted the devs, and they asked me for login info. I made them a separate account in WordPress, they logged in, and it turned out to be a bug, which they fixed. Afterwards, I removed their account.
