I would like to save some money and I was wondering if it’s possible to install WordPress on Namecheap without EasyWP, how difficult would this be? I’ve installed WordPress in the past but in local enviroments. For my projects I always used EasyWP or Dreamhost.

You should probably ask Namecheap support.
If you want to use Namecheap for hosting, I suggest the VPS hosting. This is a good guide if using Ubuntu/Debian: [https://ubuntu.com/tutorials/install-and-configure-wordpress#1-overview](https://ubuntu.com/tutorials/install-and-configure-wordpress#1-overview) . Name cheap shared hosting has its issues. I suggest Vultr.
Good thing Namecheap support is here, u/bluesix.
You can use EasyWP but shared hosting, VPS hosting, or a dedicated server would work for you as well. All of our hosting plans support WordPress; EasyWP is just the simplest and most basic offering if all you need is WordPress and nothing else, but people use shared hosting for that just the same.
You can also get a package with Softaculous which will install WordPress for you with a single click.
