Hello,
I have a rather strange problem with my wordpress login page, I have already tried a few things, unfortunately without finding a solution. I don’t know what else I can try, so now I’m hoping to possibly find help here (I tried the search, but couldn’t find a solution).
The problem:
The page “mywebsite.com/wp-login.php” is not loading on my PC only, no connection can be established.
Details:
- the normal website “mywebsite.com” works without any problems
- the problem has only existed for a few days, previously I was able to access the login page (and log in) without any problems. Strangely enough, since the problem has arisen, I have once been able to access the site (after several unsuccessful attempts) and log in.
- I have already spoken to the provider, he has no problems accessing the login page. I have checked this from my cell phone and it also works without any problems. So the problem does not seem to be on the server side, but is obviously linked to my PC
- I have tried different browsers, the same problem everywhere, connection cannot be established (Firefox: “Error: Connection interrupted”, Edge: “Sorry, page cannot be reached, the connection has been reset”)
- I have deleted all cookies, caches etc. in the browser, nothing changes
- when I call up the login page from another website (“othername.com/wp-login.php”) it works from my PC
- I have performed the Winsock reset (was a tip on the Internet), without any change
- I have temporarily deactivated the Anti-Virus program, without any change
- I use the Elementor Pro and the Wordfence Plugin on my site, latest version of WordPress
Now I don’t know what to do, especially as I am not a technical expert. Does anyone here in the forum have any ideas as to what the problem could be or what else I can try?
