Hey all, I am working with WordPress and [Muuri]) attempting to create a tool to drag & drop items (Custom Post Type: Images) from one image gallery into another empty gallery, then save the second gallery as its own post (displaying a new instance of Muuri with a custom arrangement of Images.
The Muuri homepage demos help illustrate the basic functionality, as well as this [Codepen]).
I have integrated it into my WP site with the CPT, Taxonomies and ACF filters for sorting, searching and displaying the gallery with Image Posts opening in a lightbox with all taxonomy/field info showing in a slide out info-pane. I can drag and drop into a new “Muuri gallery” but need additional help to get it to actually Save this second gallery as a post, then expand upon this idea with additional requirements like:
\- A backend UI for managing CPTs
\- Allowing users at the Editor level to modify posts (by using Muuri to re-arrange, resize elements, change title, etc.)
\- A backend UI for managing the main image gallery (rearrange and save positioning of images, add/edit/remove images)
\- Additional features to be added to this core project after the above is achieved.
My main questions to the community here is: would I need a custom built plugin to achieve this, or something bigger? Am I asking the right questions and describing my problem in the right way? and is there anyone here who may be interested in picking this up as a gig?
