Migrate Staging To Live Without overwriting orders

[ad_1]

My developer has been in an accident and I don't know when or if he'll be back. All my budget has gone to his services.

I have the access to the staging site he was building which is mostly complete.

I have access to all in one wp migration pro, I have created back ups of the live and staging site.

Is there a way to move the staging site to the live site without overwriting the orders there?

I have sumo payment plans orders that came in after the staging site was created, so I'm afraid of messing up their payment authorisations by exporting and importing to staging and then exporting back to the live website.

Chat gpt says it can be done but I have to modify the SQL file from the file export, which is where I may make a mess.

So my question is, is there a simpler way to move a WooCommerce staging site into the live site without over writing the live sites orders?

It's built on the shoptimizer theme.
I have access to my website through cyberduck too.

I've a basic knowledge of the import export parts but the rest is literally all new to me

  1. In software development, you never push a DB to production (“code up, data down”). The Prod DB is god.

What changes did you make in staging?

  2. Suggest you hire a developer to take this forward otherwise you will be going around in circles and will regret not doing so in due course.
