Need help excluding a category from a page

[ad_1]

Hi!

I’m working on a website where we have a news feed that has been in place for a while. Every time I or anyone else publishes an article, it goes on there automatically, with the latest being the first.

All of that worked until today where we are publishing a version of our magazine on the website. We are aiming to create a new section where all the magazine articles will be posted.

I can create a section with manually selecting the articles I want from the published selection using PostX blocks.

However, the problem is that all of the magazine specific posts are also on the ”normal” article page, which we do not want.

All the magazine articles are all in their own specific category, marked for the magazine. Is there a way to not how that category from the article page?

I have tried the ”Ultimate Category Excluder” options but by excluding from the front page, it hides the articles in the magazine as well. (Please note that the ”article” page is not the home page but accessible from a drop down menu). Is there a way to change what is and isn’t the front page?

Thanks in advance!
