So I have to remake a website for the company for which I work. I’ve deved in HTML/CSS/JS/Jquery/Vue and odne design (figma/PS/Ai) for years and have done some wordpress but really only presentation websites that had almost no real function. I can’t properly get a hang of anything mildly complex in wordpress because of how many plugins you need.

The website is fairly simple, but two things are very important:

1. Ability to filter Publications (scientific publications) and Projects of the company, following certain criteria like category, date etc
1. The Publications and Projects are really just blogposts with PDFs attached, but I can#t find a plugin that does proper filtering or even works (shortcodes don’t work despite being activated). Given these are both just blogposts, how do I have two seperate pages with posts of different main categories? (One page for publications ith search & filter, another page for Projects with search and filter)?
2. Ability to automatically upload 100s of Projects from the current Typo3 installation which are also stored in Excel files?
3. Is there a plugin that displays a world map with icons showing different points where the aforementioned projects took/take place? Like you see the location icon in a country, click and it shows you the projects done there? i cant find the proper keywords to look for this.
Sorry if this is long, any help is welcome please. i need to make a demo fo the project to be validated and we use WordPress because it is user friendly and the other sites already run wordpress so we can get licenses for plugins cheaper for all our sites.
