Odd issue with site display while logged in

[ad_1]

Through trial and error I traced it to a specific cookie. It’s the wordpress\_logged\_in\_(hash) cookie. If it’s there I get the bug. If it’s not everything is fine. Does anyone have any ideas?

I’m new to WordPress, set up my site this weekend based on a theme, added some plugins, etc. It was all good, then maybe I added one plug in too many and/or should have backed up before changing, learned my lesson.

It’s a rather minor issue, an inconvenience really, but I thought it wouldn’t hurt to ask here. It just means I’ll have to keep a separate window running while editing. I searched all over the internet and couldn’t find a solution.

So, what happens is when I’m logged in, and only when I’m logged in, the page does not render at all, or only partially. Some pages are all gray, some of things like the header and formatting missing. If I view it incognito it’s all fine. Log out it’s fine, log back in and it’s not.

I thought it might be related to a related to a security plugin, but I turned off each option individually, and eventually turned off the entire thing. It didn’t correct it.
