I’m looking to optimize my WordPress portfolio website but feel like hitting a wall on what to do. On my devices the website feels quite fast. Loading in around 1 second. But according to multiple stat-tools like Jetpack and Google its slow/unoptimized on mobile devices. I have my DNS routed through Cloudflare and use PHP 8.3 on WordPress version 6.5.4. But I do notice my WP-Admin being very slow and takes a long time to respond to actions.
I hear a lot of random things about Jetpack. Some say its bad or even bloatware which kills your website while others strongly advise using it to optimze your website. The same with my caching plugin WP Super Cache. I tried Lightspeed before but felt it didn’t optimized anything. I sometimes hear people advising WPRocket or WP-Optimize. But I have no idea which of these actually is the best in my case.
So who can advise me to optimize and speedup my website?
