Hi all! I'm new to WordPress, and I'm trying to make my portfolio website. Ideally, I want to showcase my projects in a particular way, but I'm having trouble doing so.
- Title: Name of Project/Client
- Carousel slider with eyecatching assets (posters, gifs, etc.)
- Category (ex. graphic design, UI/UX)
- Tags (ex. Illustrator, Photoshop)
Sounds simple enough, but I want to use blog posts as pages to talk more in depth about each project. This way, I can use a query loop and post template to automatically load in the title, category, and tags, right? The issue comes with the carousel slider/gallery I want to include for each project's stack. I can't think of a way to associate multiple images with a blog post and have it load into a carousel slider/gallery.
So I figured I'd just manually set each carousel slider with the images. However, if I want to do this, I can't use the query loop block (otherwise the same carousel slider will just repeat on all the project posts).
Any suggestions on how to achieve this without setting everything manually? Any documentation/tutorial to point to?
Note: I've also tried using the Title, Category, and Tags blocks outside of a post template, and it seems to just reference the same post. I thought I could just replace the Link Rel for each of these blocks, and it would automatically reference the correct post, but this doesn't seem to be the case.
