We are also seening this occaisionally and are forced to resume and continously monitor the mail queue:
“Sending is paused because the following connection issue prevents MailPoet from delivering emails: cURL error 28: Failed to connect to bridge.mailpoet.com port 443 after 5203 ms: Couldn’t connect to server“
Our distribution is around 500 at 8:00 am local time. We have been trickling along since and are about 125 now with the back-and-forth pause/resume due to the not authenticated or cURL error messages.
This is resolved. No understanding on what resolved it though. Suddenly around 1:25 PT all remaining emails (~300) completed sending.
During the issue, using the Wise Builds cURL Options plugin we were able to reproduce multiple failed/lost connections to “bridge.mailpoet.com” with a few sporadic successful connections.
So was the issue a network problem? Resource overload at MailPoet? Would be nice to have a RCA for this. We have had nothing but success with using MP until the last 24-48 hours.
