putting file extracted from a .wpress file in the site

[ad_1]

Hello, I have a .wpress file of a site, and wanted to restore it on another site, the all-in-one migration plugin didn’t work with me. I found a wpress extractor on github, and extracted it, but I don’t know really where to put the files, or should I modify the database. I need help please, been stuck with this process for three days now.

Here’s a screenshot of the files I have extracted:

  1. My guess would be:

    1. Empty the target database and import the “database” file you have there
    2. Delete the cache, uploads, plugins & themes folders from the target installation
    3. Copy the smush-webp, uploads, plugins & themes folders from the extracted file, into the target installation

WARNING: THIS WILL OVERWRITE THE TARGET SITE!!

If you don’t want to overwrite the other site, do a fresh install of WordPress, then follow the above steps.
