ive been into the web dev scene for the past 2 years leveraging react, ts, CSS etc. now for a project i need to make a landing page and a blog page on WordPress, i have the figma design with me but I’m not sure how to move forward. what theme should i use, what builder should i use, etc. using any other framework is not an option, i need to use WordPress only. any help would be appreciated!

All you have to do is explain to your employer that React and WordPress are two completely separate things, you have no experience with WP and therefore you aren’t a good fit for the project.
