React.js in wordpress?

[ad_1]

Hi there

I have recently been diving into developing webapps using react.
Now with the many years of experience i have with WordPress, i am investigating how I can combine the two.

I’ve come to the conclusion that i probably need to throw my head into the rest API, but was wondering if any of you have any tips or experiences you would share on this topic.

Ideally, i would like to host the React App as a landing page, and a standard website created with Divi for other pages.

I hope somebody can shed some light on this topic,
Thank you

  1. Is there any particular reason that you would like to use the react.js framework? If you already chosen to use the Divi page builder?

As far as I know WordPress is using react in the admin section, having abstracted the react, but It’s not as easy to use it on the front end, unless you load the react scripts, which is just one layer more to be added to your website. So, I’m wondering if there is any performance benefit to combine it with WordPress in this state.

Have you considered using some framework? There was Frontity, but I’m not sure if they abandoned the project because they were bought by Automaticc if I’m not mistaken. But I think there are at least one or two more alternatives for building headless WordPress websites.
    Look it up.
