Site Performance Crashed after Install

[ad_1]

Hi @justinhampton81,

After Complianz is installed, the site scan automatically starts. This temporarily takes additional resources because several pages are loaded in the background to check for used services and cookies. As the scan only runs in the admin’s browser, it usually does not affect other users, only the admin.

In some cases, if the website is already low on memory, installing any additional plugin can use up the remaining memory. This can be resolved by increasing memory in the WordPress config.

After the scan completes the required resources drops to normal levels.

The scan only runs on the back-end. If you check the website as a not logged in visitor, you will find that it is very lightweight and optimized for performance. As a result, we see perfect gtmetrix scores on a default configuration.

The scan runs from time to time, but can be disabled in the settings if required.

We can take a look at your site’s performance, just post your url if you’d like that.

Let me know if you have any questions.

@justinhampton81 As the issue is probably a temporary slow down due to the cookie scan, or a memory problem on your server, which are both easy to solve, I’ll mark this as resolved.

If you think this is not the case, and/or would like us to help you set it up let me know and I’ll re-open this thread.

As we have almost 800000 happy users I’m confident we can help you with this. We’re always happy to help.
