Siteground security plugin

[ad_1]

Genuine question. I have tried out quite many known security plugins including wordfence, solid, aios, etc

Somehow I find sg sec plug-in (even on non sg sites) does all the basics and is under rated and never talked about. I’ve used it on many sites and never had any problems. It just works without any bugs.

When I use solid. Often I see bugs with 2FA . When I use wordfence, it hogs in server resources, aios I need to use more to see.

My question is: what’s so much lacking (except firewall that’s on server level already ) in sg default and free plugin that it’s never talked about in comparison to others. Because it’s free and there’s no marketing for it?

Comparing it with solid. Solid is great too but often show bugs.

Thanks.

  1. There really is nothing ‘wrong’ with it. A few reasons that it might not be ‘popular’ are 1- it is fairly new and 2- SG really doesn’t market to non-SG customers. It is the same for SG Optimizer. It is a solid option for non SG sites, but is hugely beneficial when used on SG servers. but not many non-SG users know that.

  2. I’ve used it before, is it the one that includes the caching or is that SG optimizer?

If it includes the caching, it causes a lot of problems with woocommerce and has to be disabled!
