Has anyone else had an issue with iThemes / SolidWP Security Site Scanner? Every time I try to run a site scan I get an error message that SolidWP security Site scanner’s ip address [207.246.255.60](https://207.246.255.60) is being blocked. I have added Allow from [207.246.255.60](https://207.246.255.60) in my .htaccess file. And on my websites that have CloudFlare I have white listed the IP in Security > WAF > Custom Rules & Security > WAF > Tools > IP Access rules. But this is also occurring on some of my other websites that are not using cloudflare.

According to SolidWP
“In some cases, your host could block the Solid Security Scanner IP. If this happens, you will need to have it whitelisted.

So I contacted my web-hosting company to see if they would whitelist this issue and was told “due to security concerns it might cause, we are not whitelisting IPs. However, the IP is currently not blocked on our side so you can keep using this.
Then they tried to up-sale a VPS. lol
I have all other plugins disabled.
Hosting company is Hostinger – Shared hosting Business Plan
SolidWP Security Free
I was thinking of upgrading to Solid Security Pro but now I don’t know.
I feel like I must be missing a setting somewhere. If anyone has any suggestions I’d really appreciate it. Or suggestions on a different WP security plugin
Thanks

I would try a different plugin. I use Shield Security on a few hundred sites and absolutely love it. The free version has more features than most others and the paid version is reasonably priced. The developer is constantly adding new and useful features too. It is a lesser known gem!
