Hi,
We understand the problems you’re having with the temporary lock status given by an offline payment solution like the “Bank Transfer”. However, as we previously suggested in the thread the best solution is to switch to an online payment method by credit card, like PayPal, which is available by default in the Pro version of VikBooking that you’re using already.
Only confirmed reservations will update the availability calendars and the availability inventory itself. If you are using a room-type with 4 units in total, then a confirmed reservation will occupy the number of units booked for that specific room. Unfortunately, it is technically impossible to obtain the same result with an offline payment method, which should never be preferred against an online payment solution with real-time payment processing.
If you or your client would still like to offer an offline payment method like the “Bank Transfer” that would take days to confirm if a payment was received, then we suggest setting this up in a way that all reservations with this payment method will be automatically set to confirmed. At this point you can use the back-end pages and admin-widgets available in VikBooking to filter and monitor those bookings paid through Bank Transfer to make sure the payments were actually received. In case payments were not received, you will have to manually delete such bookings to release the previously occupied room(s).
