Staging website issue

I have just created a staging website. It defaults to staging2.mywebsite.com (http://staging2.mywebsite.com)

I guess that’s because previously I’ve had another staging account thats why it’s staging2 .

Is it possible to change this to staging.mywebsite.com (http://staging.mywebsite.com) on WordPress?

What are the implications of this?

The reason why: I’ve paid for Booknetic which doesn’t recognise it is a staging domain when it has a number in the staging name. This is important for licensing reasons.
