Hey, I’ve been with dreamhost for a couple months now and since the start my load time has been around 2-3 seconds. My wp-admin is also very slow and no I don’t have a lot of plugins and use the hello theme from elementor. I use dreamhost and have the biggest plan. Other sites that use the same host are also way faster than mine. Could I be missing anything?

I ran GTMetrix a couple of times on your site. While overall it showed that while your actual site loads quickly and seems pretty lightweight, the first time I ran it it took more than three seconds to send the first byte of actual code.
Based on experiences with other Dreamhost sites it seems like they “swap” sites to disk when they’re not very active. When someone comes along and hits the site again it takes a few seconds to spin it back up. Afterwards the site will be pretty perky.
Another possibility is that there’s some kind of periodic big cron job or jobs that take a while to run if the site hasn’t gotten a hit for a while. (That could include WooCommerce queries, pre-caching, or even server-side activity.)
When something like that happens to me I’ll try spinning the site up on another server to see if the problem reproduces. If it does then I go looking for plugins that might run occasional big queries. If not then I’ll contact the hosting support team and ask if they can see what’s going on on their end.
