thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.
Good news here: TablePress no longer uses Shortcodes as the primary way to insert tables! This way, you won’t have to remember or copy the Shortcode just to insert a table. Instead, when editing a post or page in the WordPress block editor, you can now simply add a “TablePress table” block. Then, in the block’s Settings sidebar, select the table that you want to insert.
Now, of course, Shortcode will still work and are still supported. You could therefore also add a table by using a Shortcode block and manually type in the Shortcode [table id=123 /]
with the desired table ID.

more news: The Shortcode field is now visible again. The fix for this is now available in TablePress 2.0.1 that I just released. Updating is recommended.
