I recently stumbled upon a fantastic technique that has helped me alot. By including WP-load.php in a PHP file, it is possible to test a script while simultaneously loading all of the WordPress libraries.
This approach has drastically simplified my workflow, particularly when I need to test an arbitrary piece of code. Previously, I might have created a short code or used a function and hook to test something. Now, with WP-load.php, I can execute and test my code with much greater ease and efficiency.
