Hi, in your site there is for sure a filter changing the subscriber’s details. First you should check if the data stored inside the database (see the table wp_newsletter) contains the “Doe” word (it helps understanding id the word is added diring the subscription or “on the fly”). Then you should check for possible custom code.
Try even to make a subscription from our default form (opening the Newsletter public page with an anonymous browser) and look at the data registered.
More information can help: are the subscribers imported or registered from the public site? Are they collected using a form created by a form manager? Or are they imported?
Thanks for the quick response! The capture form is from the theme I’m using (Themify Shoppe) connected to TNP.
In fact, if registration is done on the public subscription page and not on the capture form, the word “Donate” is not added. Therefore, it is really “a filter” in the capture form that is adding “Doe” as the default last name! But I already managed to solve it, adding the html code for the space character as default.
