WordPress vs commercial CMS in terms of cost

[ad_1]

At the moment we’re struggling to justify choosing WordPress over commercial CMS like Wix even though we can use WordPress completely free on Azure grant for nonprofits. The reason is, the more we try to set up our site on WordPress, the more we find that we may have to spend money on third party plugins (if not now, maybe some time in the future), because most of the free plugins just don’t cut it. And even just one plugin that requires monthly/annual subscription (most of them are nowadays) can make the whole thing more expensive than the commercial option.

Has anyone found that they chose WordPress for cost savings, and ended up spending more money in the long run?

Or is WordPress more about freedom and flexibility for you?
