404 not found after payment

[ad_1]

Hi,

About issue 2 first. This is not an error message from the Mobile Pay plugin. I looked through all the code now, and this message must come from another plugin.

Regarding issue number 1, 404. Some themes treat URLs in a way so the Mobile Pay pages does not work. This can be solve by doing the following:

  1. Create a blank page that you call for instance “Mobile Pay Landing page”
  2. Enter settings for the Mobile Pay plugin and click Advanced.
  3. In the dropdown for “Brug et rigtigt side-ID for de specielle %1$s sider – nødvendigt for nogle temaer” you must choose the page you just created.

This is a known issue with a very few themes, and it is also answered in norwegian: https://projectdmc.org/support/topic/vipps-404-feil/

Hi,

Thanks for your help, it makes perfect sense, but it doesn’t seem to solve the 404 issue.

I have both tried to create a new page and “point” to it in the “Brug et rigtigt side-ID…” mentioned setting, and I have tried to point to some of the other existing pages… I still get the 404 error.

I’m using the “Twenty Twenty-Four” theme, any special issues with this? are there any known-to-work themes I could switch to ?

Can you try to change to the theme Storefront? That is the most standard theme for WooCommerce.

If it still fails, then you probably have a plugin that interferes with how WordPress translates slugs into pages.

Hi,

OK, I tried activating the StoreFront theme, and I get the same 404 issue.

I removed the stripe and google ad plugin, so now I only have the following plugins:

  • Betal med Vipps og MobilePay for WooCommerce

I have also tried to disable “Direkte bankoverførsel”, so the only payment method active is MobilePay – still same 404 issue.

Any other ideas as to where to look for the solution ?

You can try to reset permalinks.

I am not sure what this is called in a danish interface, but in english you go to (in wordpress admin): Settings -> Permalinks. Make sure the box “Post name” is checked (“Innleggsnavn” in norwegian).

Then click “Save” in the bottom of the page.

YES YES YES ! Thanks that solved the issue, it’s working!

In the danish version its “indstillinger->permanente links”.

It was set to “engen struktur”, I changed it to “Navn på indlæg” and saved, and now its working.

Thank you so much for great help @pmbakken
