It was already possible to use the “unfiltered product description” attribute to get your product descriptions truncated however we have just pushed out a new release of our plugin that also automatically truncates the normal and short product description for Google Shopping feeds when it is longer than 5000 characters. Just update the plugin and you should be fine.
Truncating works but now html has appeared in the text, links.
