“502 Bad Gateway error” with “Host Google Fonts locally”

[ad_1]

Just to let you know:

I use Twenty Twenty with “System UI” as a font in “Twentig Options” > “Fonts”.

After I accidentally activated “Font Hosting” > “Host Google Fonts locally” and published the changes, the frontend was replaced with a “502 Bad Gateway” error and not available any more.

The backend was still available and worked fine, so I deactivated the option and everything was fine again (after I figured out that this option was responsible for the 502 error).

I know that the combination of “System UI” with “Host Google Fonts locally` doesn’t really make sense, but it still shouldn’t result in a 502 error.

Other than that – thanx a million for your plugin! I have been using it for some time on various sites and have featured it in the new edition of my WordPress book for beginners (see site link).
