I noticed several of my clients who run e-commerce stores with WordPress + Woocommerce use Mailchimp if they are starting out or Klaviyo once they have enough volume.
If the client is open to it, I always migrate them over to a WordPress-powered solution, to cut costs and to keep everything in the WordPress ecosystem.
I wrote a full guide here on my personal blog: [https://thejuliolopez.com/p/take-control-host-your-own-crm])
It basically outlines how you can keep your CRM (using 1 plugin) within your WP-dasboard, save 1000s of dollars, and have all the flexibility WordPress offers. Instead of piecing together different plugins and SAAS products.
What do you think of this alternative? Do you think it’s better to keep your contacts and communications outside on an external SAAS platfrom?
I also wrote this guide to introduce others to WordPress, especially those who underestimate it and think it’s a waste of time compared to Shopify. Maybe I can change a few minds in the Shopify related communities.
